What to do in Ericeira
An ancient village considered one of the best small destinations, this has a warm atmosphere, in the municipality of Mafra. To learn more about this small village, it begins by the beach of Ribeira D’Ilhas, the Mecca of European surfing, this is visited by surfers.
Further down the coast, is the Fishermans beach, known as the beach where the Portuguese royal family left for exile in 1910.
In the center of the village is the Church of St. Peter of Ericeira, which although not known construction dates, only the interior and artistic works draw attention of the curious.
Continuing on the appreciation of religious art, the Hermitage of San Sebastian of the fifteenth or sixteenth century, calls the visit by his covered interior tiles.
