Beaches of Peniche
Known as the Capital of Wave, Peniche has a range of beaches to suit all tastes, both for water sports lovers, families, children and youth. Since the peace and quiet, the beaches lapped by the waves choppy favorable for surfers.
The Baleal it consists of an extensive sandy beach, surrounded by large dunes and is divided by a road connecting the small peninsula to the mainland, thus forming two bays. The Peniche de Cima it is located at the northern end of Baleal bay, within the city of Peniche, in this sense, is a much sought after beach.

The Berlengas is divided into two beaches, the fortress and the Carreiro do Mosteiro, having crystalline waters, filled reefs and sea caves, great for underwater explorations, not being watched. This is also the Fort of St. John the Baptist. To reach the islands Berlenga is necessary to travel by boat from Peniche.
